That was Then... This is Now...

Just a sneak peek leading up to tomorrow's post on the final reveal of the living room.

That Was Then...
This is Now...

Then.....

Now....

Then...

And Now...

If the "now" photos look a little dark, it's because I took these pictures at twilight (versus the bright of day in the "befores").  It's my favorite time of day to walk through the room for two reasons....

One, I like the coziness of the room.  Despite the fact that the room is basically lights & darks, it's not stark at all.  It's warm and comfortable, and I love the way the "faux fireplace" looks at night.

Two, even though there are large windows along the front of the room and the fact that it faces east, in the past even in broad daylight the room was always dark and cave-like.  I chalk that up to my oh-so-lovely choice of the random red wall.   Now even with the painted dark furniture, it's still lighter & brighter.... even at night!

I hope you'll check back tomorrow for some of my favorite changes.

HINT:  aside from a few art pieces and small accessories shopped from other parts of the house, everything that was in the room "before" is in the room "after".

Pretty amazing, I think!  See U Friday!
